On the streets of Exeter, spontaneous conversations often connect us with local entrepreneurs who have turned lifelong passions into reality. In this feature, we meet George, owner of Sunday’s Cafe on the Exeter Quayside, to talk about community, positivity, and what brings true vitality to his days.
For George, feeling alive is centred around the people you surround yourself with and doing what you love:
"Surrounding yourself with good people, enjoying where you live, and doing the things that you love as often as you can. That's what makes me feel alive."
Reflecting on his journey and what motivates him to keep going every day, George shares how fulfilling a long-held dream shaped his path:
"I love what I do... owning a cafe was a dream of mine since I was young. Having finally achieved that, I own Sunday's Cafe, which is down on Exeter Quayside, been there for four years. It's a coffee shop, we sell bagels, we also sell all surfboard equipment, wetsuits, everything you need, and yes, good vibe."
Closing our conversation, George shares a wonderfully straightforward message for the world:
"Be nice"
