What Makes Danni Alive?
Amid the high street's busy rhythm, personal transformation often begins with a deep sense of inner purpose. In this feature, we meet Danni on the streets of Exeter to hear about her journey from dark times to finding faith and resilience.
For Danni, vitality and motivation are deeply tied to spiritual discovery and embracing a new chapter of life:
"Probably Christ... Christ makes me feel alive. I was always in a really dark place, and then the people around me introduced me into this new faith... so I've always been an atheist & I opened him into my heart & I'll tell you what, since then I've felt alive. And it's given me the motivation to do good things in my life & actually push forward to the goals I want to do."
Reflecting on her past, Danni opens up about the immense hurdles she has faced and conquered along the way:
"Quite a lot, addiction, alcoholism, abuse... just quite a lot, abuse to myself, self-harm, just all of them really, really dark places. It's been a very tough time, it's been a long road, but we get there & a new day comes & it's just feel good love."
Closing our conversation, Danni shares a grounding and compassionate message for anyone navigating life's challenges:
"Literally don't deep anything, just take each day as it comes because in the grand scheme of things, we're all just tiny little specks on a massive world & just be kind to one another because it really does help."
