On Exeter's streets, spontaneous conversations often remind us how much deeper our daily experiences become when we share them with others. In this feature, we speak with Martha about connection, resilience, and what makes her feel truly alive.
For Martha, feeling alive comes down to the people around her and the joy of shared moments:
"I think the people around me... experiencing life with other people is really fun. I think it makes all the experiences that you have just better, because you get to share it with other people."
Opening up about personal growth, Martha shares how she navigated an anxiety disorder and the perspective it brought her:
"I have an anxiety disorder which I've worked through... you know, it really makes you appreciate every day & everything that you get to do now."
Sharing her approach to facing fear head-on, Martha adds:
"I just try & do the things that scare you, because... they're not as scary as they seem once you do them."
Closing our conversation, Martha shares a warm and simple message for the world:
"To love everyone & appreciate everything that happens to you."
