What Makes Tegan Alive?

On Exeter's streets, alternative style often pairs with deep personal reflections on connection and endurance. In this feature, we speak with Tegan about the foundational support systems and mindset shifts that keep her moving forward.

For Tegan, vitality and reassurance are anchored directly in family:

"I'd say my mum... just always checking up on me, making sure I'm okay, supporting me, making sure that I'm doing good & doing the right thing... it's all about, I suppose."

Reflecting on broader hurdles, Tegan opens up about navigating the mental health challenges of modern life alongside everyday practical pressures:

"In this day and age though, it's a lot of problems with say, mental health... I'd say that's a big thing when like education systems & stuff. I mean, I've just feel like basic struggles in life really. Money, friends, them sort of things."

Closing our conversation, Tegan shares an encouraging and grounded message for the world:

"I'd say just keep moving... if you keep moving, nothing can really bother you. As long as you don't sit & dwell on things, stuff will get better really."
